Sandakan about 45 minutes by flight from Kota Kinabalu is the stop for the world renowned - Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Sanctuary. Travel further to the Kinabatangan Basin to explore the wildlife here like the prosbocis monkeys and the elusive pygmy elephants. There are two conservation areas to check out – Tabin Wildlife Reserve & the Danum Valley. Last but the least, the wonderful dive sites around the Sabah East Coast.
