HOMESTAY - KAMPUNG JENGKA 25, TEMERLOH, PAHANG Kampung Jengka 25 is located 38 km south of Jerantut town bordering the northern part of Temerloh. The journey to the village that takes 40 minutes offers the breathtaking view of oil palm and rubber plantation areas with the panoramic vista of Gunung Senyum as a backdrop.
The village was opened in 1983 by the government in its land development scheme programme. The main objective was to improve the social economic status of the Bumiputra in the rural areas. The Malays from all over Malaysia started to develop the area for rubber and palm oil production Gunung Senyum Forest Recreational Park is just a kilometre away from Kampung Jengka 25. The area, which was developed as a recreational forest in 1989, contains two main limestone complexes, the Gunung Senyum (216 ha) and Gunung Jebak Puyuh (95.9 ha). It is the District Forestry Department effort towards conservation of biodiversity near the mountain and cave areas. The blend of mountains, plantations, and villages offer a unique experience for locals and international visitors alike.
