DAY 1    ARRIVE HANOI

Arrive in Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport, you will be welcome by our guide and driver and then transfer you to hotel for check in.

The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Overnight in Hanoi. 

DAY 2     IN HANOI

Breakfast at hotel.

Morning, proceed for a half day city tour of Hanoi including visit the imposing marble edifice housing the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (CLOSED ON MONDAYS & FRIDAYS) before moving onto his wooden stilt house and the One Pillar Pagoda. You will then explore the first university of Vietnam, the Temple of Literature, which is imbued with the profound philosophies of Confucianism.

DAY 3     HANOI – HALONG BAY

Breakfast at hotel.

Drive through green rice paddy fields to Ha Long Bay. You will board a junk for a cruise among the hundreds of islets of Ha Long Bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch and a swim (if weather permits) before visiting a grotto of gigantic stalactites and stalagmites.

HalongDAY 4     HALONG BAY – DA NANG – HOI AN

Breakfast at hotel.

Transfer to Hanoi Noi Bai Airport for catching onward departure flight out to Da Nang.

Upon arrival in Da Nang International Airport, you will be welcome by our guide and driver and then transfer you to Hoi An for check into hotel.

DAY 5     IN HOI AN

Breakfast at hotel.

Pay a visit to one of Hoi An’s famous lantern workshops and learn how to make one yourself before setting out on a walking tour to explore this World Heritage Site. Highlights include an ancient merchant house, the Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge and the vibrant riverside market. Take a peaceful boat trip on the Thu Bon River to Thanh Ha pottery village and afterwards enjoy free time to further explore the old town.

DAY 6     HOI AN – HUE

Breakfast at hotel.

In the morning depart Hoi An for the ancient capital of Hue (the former Imperial Capital of Vietnam).

In the afternoon, take an excursion to the Imperial Citadel and Dong Ba Market. The spectacular Citadel (which was built in accordance to strict principles of geomancy) houses a series of palaces, ornate halls, libraries, residences and colleges. In the afternoon, visit the poetic mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc and the Thien Mu Pagoda. Enjoy a peaceful tour on the Perfume River and relax on a sunset cruise back to Hue.

DAY 7     HUE – HO CHI MINH CITY

Breakfast at hotel.

Transfer to Hue Phu Bai Airport to catch the morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon arrival, take city tour of this vibrant metropolis. Highlights include the Reunification Palace (photo stop), the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office, Chinatown, the Binh Tay Market and either the Thien Hau Temple or the Quan Am Pagoda.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City. (Breakfast)

DAY 8     IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Breakfast at hotel.

Full day free at leisure. Optional tours are available on request.

DAY 9     DEPART HO CHI MINH CITY

The morning is free for shopping before transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for departure. (Breakfast)
